Facility Details
The new plant will be located on a 37-acre site at the Osiris Chemicals Industry Platform in Roussillon, near Hexcel’s existing weaving and prepreg manufacturing facilities near Lyon. The plant will supply carbon fiber to major customers, including Airbus for the A350 XWB and Safran for the CFM LEAP engine.
Timeline and Employment
Construction of the new plant is scheduled to begin by mid-2015, with full operational status expected by early 2018. The facility will employ 120 people when fully operational.
