New CEO and Capacity Expansion at Diolen Industrial Fibers

Management Changes

Eric Tierie, aged 50, has been appointed as the new CEO and General Manager of Diolen Industrial Fibers, effective December 1, 2006. He succeeds Jan Michiels, who will leave the company on the same date. Tierie brings over 20 years of experience in management roles at multinationals such as Unilever, Van Leer Packaging, and Mittal Steel. He holds a degree in Chemical Process Engineering from Delft University of Technology.

Board Appointment

Wouter Waleson has been appointed to the Board of Management of Diolen Europe Investment bv, following a recommendation from the works council. Waleson is a former coordinator of the collective labour agreement and a member of the general committee of FNV Bondgenoten, the largest union federation in Holland.

Capacity Expansion

Diolen Industrial Fibers is investing in modernizing its machinery and expanding the production capacity at its Emmen facility in the Netherlands. This investment will increase the plant's capacity by 2,500 tons of high-quality polyester yarn, enhancing the company's ability to offer high-quality products at competitive prices.
