Saskatchewan Power Corporation, operating as SaskPower, is the principal electric utility in Saskatchewan, Canada. Headquartered in Regina, it is a Crown corporation owned by the provincial government through the Crown Investments Corporation. SaskPower generates, transmits and distributes electricity to more than 550,000 customers across the province and manages assets valued at nearly $13 billion.
The company employs approximately 3,300 people. It is investing in infrastructure modernization, including new natural gas generation and grid expansions, while pursuing coal life extensions as a bridge to future nuclear options. In 2025-26, SaskPower reported capital spending of $1.8 billion on growth and sustainment projects.
Under a 2026 agreement, SaskPower will purchase up to 62 megawatts of electricity from K+S Potash Canada’s expanded cogeneration facility at the Bethune potash mine near Moose Jaw, with deliveries scheduled from late 2026 through 2034.
