Rebound is a joint venture formed by Technip Energies, Airbus, Safran and Tereos to develop a large-scale sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production project at the Port of Dunkirk in northern France.
The facility will use the Alcohol-to-Jet pathway to convert advanced ethanol produced from agricultural and forestry residues into approximately 160,000 tonnes of drop-in SAF per year for blending with conventional jet fuel.
Technip Energies will act as lead developer and engineering provider, with Airbus and Safran participating as industrial partners and potential offtakers. Tereos will supply advanced ethanol. The joint venture is subject to customary approvals and is expected to be finalised in the second half of 2026.
