About Praxair

Praxair, Inc. was a U.S.-based industrial gases company that supplied atmospheric gases (oxygen, nitrogen, argon) and process/specialty gases (hydrogen, carbon dioxide, helium, and others), along with related equipment and applications technologies. Headquartered in Danbury, Connecticut prior to its combination, Praxair operated air separation units and hydrogen/CO plants, and delivered gases via on-site supply, pipeline networks, bulk liquids, and packaged cylinders.

Its products and technologies served a wide range of sectors, including chemicals, energy and refining, metals, electronics, healthcare, food and beverage, and general manufacturing. Praxair had significant operations across the Americas—including through its White Martins business in Brazil—as well as in Europe and Asia-Pacific.

In 2018, Praxair merged with Linde AG to form Linde plc. The combined company operates globally under the Linde name.
