Pampa Energía S.A. is an Argentine integrated energy company headquartered in Buenos Aires. It operates across the oil and gas value chain, electricity generation with approximately 5,500 MW installed capacity, and petrochemical production. The company produces styrene and polystyrene at two plants in Argentina, holding a dominant domestic market share.
In 2026, through its wholly owned subsidiary Fértil Pampa S.A.U., Pampa announced a US$2.7 billion investment to construct Latin America’s largest urea plant in the Bahía Blanca Industrial Complex. The facility will have an annual capacity of 2.1 million tonnes of granular urea, utilizing natural gas from Vaca Muerta. Tecnimont, part of Italy’s MAIRE Group, was awarded the engineering, procurement, and construction contract valued at approximately €1.3 billion. The project is expected to create over 3,500 direct jobs during peak construction.
