NEOCEM (NeoCem) is a French company specializing in low-carbon cement solutions. Headquartered in Hallennes-lez-Haubourdin, it operates a production facility in Saint-Maximin, near Paris, with an annual capacity exceeding 200,000 tonnes of calcined clay.
The company produces high-reactivity calcined clay binders via flash calcination at around 750°C, using upcycled waste clays from construction sites such as the Grand Paris Express project. This pozzolanic material serves as a supplementary cementitious material, replacing 35-50% of clinker in Portland cement blends for concrete, precast elements, mortars, and renders, without requiring process changes.
NeoCem's technology complies with standards including EN 197-1, EN 206, and BS 8615-1. It significantly reduces CO₂ emissions—up to 80% per tonne of clinker substituted—compared to traditional cement production, which relies on high-temperature clinker calcination. Awarded the France 2030 label, NeoCem supports the cement industry's decarbonization efforts.
