Metsä Fibre is a Finnish producer of market pulp, sawn timber and bioproducts, and part of Metsä Group. The company supplies softwood and birch pulp to tissue, packaging, board and specialty paper manufacturers worldwide, and operates sawmills producing Nordic sawn timber for construction and industrial uses.
Its operations are based on bioproduct mills in Finland that utilize sustainably sourced wood and maximize material and energy recovery. In addition to pulp and lumber, process side streams are refined into products such as tall oil, turpentine and bioenergy. Metsä Fibre focuses on sustainable forestry, traceability and resource efficiency, and invests in technology and R&D to develop wood-based materials and to reduce emissions and water use across its value chain.
