MadoquaPower2X is a Portugal-based, consortium-backed project developer focused on industrial-scale production of green hydrogen and green ammonia in the Sines industrial cluster. It integrates renewable electricity with water electrolysis to produce hydrogen, which is synthesized into ammonia using established processes, targeting low-carbon feedstock and fuel markets.
The venture leverages Portugal’s solar and wind resources alongside port and pipeline infrastructure at Sines to enable both domestic use and export. Its applications include decarbonizing chemical and fertilizer value chains and supplying alternative marine fuel. The scope covers process integration, utilities, storage, and outbound logistics, with associated renewable generation developed for dedicated supply.
