Maatschappij Linkerscheldeoever (MLSO) is the public development and land management company for the Left Bank of the River Scheldt within the Port of Antwerp-Bruges (Waaslandhaven), Belgium. It plans, develops, and manages industrial zones and supports the spatial and infrastructural needs of the port’s industrial cluster.
MLSO allocates industrial concessions and coordinates underlying infrastructure, including roads, utilities, and pipeline corridors, to enable large-scale chemical, energy, and logistics activities. The organisation works with public authorities and private companies to facilitate cluster synergies, shared services, and connections to networks for steam, heat, water, and other utilities. Its remit includes sustainable area development, safety and environmental management, and the integration of projects that advance energy efficiency, circularity, and the decarbonisation of industrial processes.
Through its role, MLSO helps ensure long-term, well-serviced sites for investment and operations in the Antwerp chemical and process industry hub.
