EDP Renewables

About EDPR

EDP Renewables (EDPR) is a global renewable energy company that develops, builds, and operates wind and solar projects. Majority-owned by EDP Group (Energias de Portugal, S.A.) and listed on Euronext Lisbon (ticker: EDPR), the company is headquartered in Madrid and active across Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia–Pacific.

Its portfolio spans utility-scale onshore wind and solar photovoltaics, distributed generation, hybrid plants, and battery energy storage. EDPR also participates in offshore wind through Ocean Winds, a 50:50 joint venture with ENGIE. The company supplies renewable electricity to grids and through long-term corporate power purchase agreements (CPPAs) with industrial customers.

For the chemical industry, EDPR’s renewable power and CPPAs support decarbonization by reducing scope 2 emissions, enabling electrification of processes, and providing certified green electricity that can underpin low‑carbon and green hydrogen production. This helps energy-intensive sites improve sustainability performance while managing energy price and supply risks.
