DePoly is a Switzerland-based cleantech company developing chemical recycling solutions for PET and polyester. Its depolymerization process converts post-consumer and post-industrial PET—including textiles, fibers, and packaging, even when mixed, colored, or contaminated—into purified monomers such as terephthalic acid (TPA/PTA) and monoethylene glycol (MEG). These virgin-equivalent building blocks can be re-polymerized to make new PET resins and polyester fibers, enabling closed-loop recycling beyond the limits of conventional mechanical methods.
Working with partners across the plastics and textile value chain, DePoly targets hard-to-recycle waste streams to supply circular feedstocks and lower dependence on fossil-derived raw materials. The company operates from Switzerland and is scaling its technology from pilot and demonstration activities toward commercial deployment for applications in packaging, apparel, and industrial materials.
