CropEnergies AG

About CropEnergies

CropEnergies AG is a Mannheim, Germany–based producer of renewable ethanol and biobased co-products, and a member of the Südzucker Group. The company manufactures fuel-grade and industrial ethanol from agricultural feedstocks and supplies customers in transport, chemical, and industrial markets across Europe.

Its integrated biorefineries in Zeitz (Germany), Wanze (Belgium), Teesside/Wilton (UK, via Ensus), and Loon-Plage/Dunkirk (France) convert grains and sugar-rich materials into ethanol, high-purity neutral alcohol, protein-rich animal feed (e.g., DDGS), and biogenic carbon dioxide. Several sites operate combined heat and power units to improve energy efficiency. CropEnergies focuses on resource efficiency, traceable raw materials, and reducing lifecycle greenhouse-gas emissions while broadening applications for bioethanol and alcohols in fuels, industrial uses, and specialty markets.
