Condor Flugdienst GmbH, commonly known as Condor, is a German leisure airline headquartered at Frankfurt Airport. Founded in 1955 as Deutsche Flugdienst GmbH and rebranded after merging with Condor-Luftreederei in 1961, it operates scheduled and charter flights to over 65 destinations in Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, and South America from multiple German airports, with main hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.
The airline serves the tourism market, offering short-, medium-, and long-haul passenger services. Its fleet includes Airbus A320neo family aircraft equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF engines. Condor is majority-owned by Attestor (51%) and SG Luftfahrtgesellschaft (49%) following its restructuring post-Thomas Cook insolvency in 2019.
In the context of the chemical industry, Condor has partnered with energy companies like Moeve (formerly Cepsa) for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supplies, including over 515 tonnes for flights from Tenerife South Airport to Germany, supporting aviation decarbonization efforts by reducing CO₂ emissions.
