Founded in 2007, it develops and supplies commercial plants that convert sustainable biomass residues (e.g., sawdust, straw) into Fast Pyrolysis Bio-Oil (FPBO), a renewable liquid that replaces fossil fuels for heat, chemicals, and advanced biofuels including SAF. It operates the Empyro plant in Hengelo since 2015.
