Its assets include major refineries at Whiting, Indiana, and Cherry Point, Washington, as well as pipelines, terminals, and a broad supply and retail footprint.

For the chemical value chain, BP America supplies refined hydrocarbons, natural gas, and natural gas liquids that serve as feedstocks for petrochemical and industrial customers. BP divested its global petrochemicals manufacturing business in 2020 and today focuses on refining, supply and trading, and integration with downstream customers in chemicals and materials markets.

The company is active in low‑carbon and advanced fuels initiatives in the U.S., including renewable natural gas, biofuels and sustainable aviation fuel supply, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, offshore wind partnerships, and electric vehicle charging, alongside its Castrol lubricants brand.
