Baltic Chemical Park

The new plant, launched in 2015, boosts energy efficiency and reduces environmental impact. It processes 1 million tons of oil shale annually, creating 400 jobs and contributing 1% to Estonia's GDP.

The plant will recycle oil refinery waste into liquid fuel, processing up to 50,000 tons annually. Excess waste will be imported from Poland, Belarus, and Finland. Construction starts summer 2012.
