ZILS advances Renewable Energy Community in Sines

Meeting and presentations

The second session with Park clients took place on 29 September at the ZILS – Industrial and Logistics Zone of Sines. Orlando Paraíba from ENA presented the status and business model of the future Renewable Energy Community (CER), and Teresa Pato Ribeiro from the legal department of aicep Global Parques presented the proposed Statutes and Internal Regulations. The meeting also assessed interest from clients who did not attend the first session in joining the community.

Regulatory and operational clarification

The session opened with welcoming remarks from Miguel Borralho, Director of ZILS, and continued with a round table featuring representatives from DGEG, ADENE and E-REDES. The discussion focused on legal requirements, participant responsibilities, possible constraints and deadlines associated with the constitution and operation of the CER.

WESHARE pilot and objectives

The initiative is part of the WESHARE project, co‑financed by the LIFE Programme of the European Union, which includes pilot projects in Sines, Antwerp and Getafe. The project aims to promote energy sharing among companies to improve energy efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen energy security.
