E-REDES - Distribuição de Eletricidade, S.A. is the sole electricity distribution system operator (DSO) for mainland Portugal, managing the high-, medium-, and low-voltage networks that deliver power to approximately 6.6 million customers. The company operates an extensive infrastructure comprising over 238,000 kilometers of grid lines and hundreds of substations, ensuring reliable supply while supporting the national electricity system.

It operates under concession as a neutral market facilitator, providing impartial services to retailers, consumers, and other agents.
