X-ELIO Commissions 14 MW Funaki Solar Plant in Japan

Project Overview

X-ELIO has completed the commissioning of its 14 MW (10 MWac) Funaki PV Solar Plant in Ube, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. The plant is now fully operational, following successful performance and reliability testing.

Energy Production and Agreement

The Funaki plant is expected to produce 18,686 MWh of clean energy annually. Amazon has secured 100% of this output through a 20-year power purchase agreement, supporting its goal to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.

Contribution to Japan's Net-Zero Goal

This project contributes to Japan's target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. X-ELIO's expansion in Japan includes a portfolio of 393 MW of solar power plants and a pipeline of 396 MW of PV Solar and BESS projects in various development stages.

Community Support

Aligned with its Community Plan, X-ELIO has donated disaster relief equipment to local authorities in Ube, enhancing the region's preparedness and resilience. The donation includes a power generator, tents, and other essential materials for emergency shelters.
