Demerger background

An extraordinary general meeting on 31 August 2026 resolved a partial demerger by which all assets and liabilities of UPM relating to the UPM Plywood business area, or mainly serving that area, will be transferred to WISA Group Plc, a company to be established in the demerger. The planned completion date is 31 October 2026 and trading in WISA shares on Nasdaq Helsinki is expected to begin on 2 November 2026.

Capital Markets Day purpose

Investors, analysts and bankers are invited to the Capital Markets Day of the future WISA Group on Wednesday 23 September 2026 at UPM Head Office in Helsinki. The incoming management will present WISA’s strategy, growth opportunities, business operations and financial targets to support the company’s path toward independent public listing.

Event format and logistics

The event will be hosted by Tapio Korpeinen, Chair of the Board designate; Tuija Suur-Hamari, President and CEO designate; and Lasse von Hertzen, interim Chief Financial Officer. Schedule (all times EEST): registration 13:00–13:30, presentations/Q&A and live webcast 13:30–16:00, end of event 16:00. The event language is English.
