Evonik launches stiffer VESTAKEEP PEEK dental grades DC4760 and DC4780
- Evonik introduced VESTAKEEP DC4760 and DC4780 for long-term fixed and removable dental prosthetics.
- An independent study in Dental Materials found their stiffness sufficient for implant-supported dentures and other high-load applications.
- Both grades deliver increased rigidity while maintaining flexural strength, plus excellent polishability and full compatibility with standard CAD/CAM workflows.
- Available as rods and CAD/CAM discs in dentin (DC4760) and gingiva (DC4780) colors, they are biocompatible for long-term mucosal contact and come with MDR regulatory support.
Products
Evonik introduced VESTAKEEP DC4760 (dentin colored) and VESTAKEEP DC4780 (gingiva colored), two PEEK grades targeted at long-term dental prosthetics and multi-unit frameworks. They are supplied as rods or CAD/CAM discs.
Performance
Both grades feature increased, bone-like stiffness and retain the flexural strength required for long-term prostheses. An independent analysis published in Dental Materials by Charité University Medicine and the Einstein Center Digital Future found their stiffness adequate for implant-supported dentures and other high-load dental applications.
Processing and hygiene
The materials offer excellent polishability for standard dental-lab equipment, 100% compatibility with CAD/CAM workflows, and preserve established wear and plaque-resistance properties. Higher stiffness improves modulus matching with acrylic veneers, which can extend denture longevity.
Availability and regulatory support
VESTAKEEP DC4760 and DC4780 are biocompatible for long-term mucosal contact. Evonik will provide customers with regulatory support for MDR registration and will present its medical solutions at COMPAMED from November 16–19 in Düsseldorf.
