The sale includes 100% of the shares in Lubmin-Brandov Assets GmbH & Co. KG, which holds the 20% ownership in OPAL. The remaining 80% is owned by GASCADE Gastransport GmbH.

OPAL is a major European transmission corridor, extending approximately 740 km from Lubmin in Germany to Brandov in the Czech Republic. It is part of Germany's Hydrogen Core Network framework, with its northern segment conversion completed by mid-December 2025 and the southern segment expected by the end of 2030.
Expression of Interest
Interested parties are invited to submit their Expression of Interest by email in German or English by 23:59 CET on January 29, 2026. Submissions should include the name, address, and contact details of the interested party and responsible persons, as well as any mandated financial advisers. Late or incomplete submissions may be disregarded.
Next Steps
Upon receiving the Expression of Interest, Uniper will provide interested parties with a teaser and a process letter outlining the next steps and requirements for the pre-qualification phase. The bidding process will be conducted in an open, fair, and transparent manner.
