Project
Toyo Engineering Korea Limited has been awarded a contract by HANTOK CHEMICALS to build a tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) production plant in Pyeongtaek, Republic of Korea. The plant is part of HANTOK's strategic investment program to establish a reliable supply system for TMAH.
Scope and schedule
Toyo-Korea will handle selected procurement, construction and commissioning support. The project is scheduled for completion in fiscal year 2027; a groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 19 in the Poseung District of Pyeongtaek.
Market context
TMAH is used as a photoresist developer in semiconductor manufacturing processes. Demand is expected to grow with advancing semiconductor production, and HANTOK plans to double its current TMAH production capacity with the new plant.
Client structure
HANTOK CHEMICALS is a 50:50 joint venture between Tokuyama Corporation and LOTTE Chemical Corporation.
