From 1993 to 2024, Tengizchevroil (TCO) made direct financial payments exceeding $201 billion to Kazakhstan, supporting the state budget and economic progress. TCO was recognized as “The Best Taxpayer” in the subsoil user category by the RoK Ministry of Finance for the third consecutive year.

Environmental Initiatives

TCO achieved a 71% reduction in air emissions per ton of crude oil produced since 2000. The company has a water reuse rate of 48% and a waste recycling rate of 54%. In 2024, TCO completed the implementation of an Automated Emissions Monitoring System, enabling real-time data transmission from its facilities.

Local Content Development

In 2024, TCO spent over $2.9 billion on local goods, works, and services, achieving 69% Kazakhstani Content. This investment stimulates economic activity beyond Atyrau, benefiting multiple regions across Kazakhstan.

Community Investments

As part of its Egilik program, TCO opened a new school for 600 children in Kulsary city in December 2024. Since the program's inception, TCO has invested in over 120 projects to improve social facilities in Atyrau oblast, including schools, hospitals, recreational areas, and kindergartens. In 2024, TCO's Community Investments Program positively impacted 7,804 people across Atyrau oblast.
