Industry context

R&D in cell and gene therapy (CGT) is expanding globally while manufacturing complexity and stricter quality and regulatory requirements increase demand for specialized CDMOs and multi-region manufacturing, quality and regulatory support.

ACGMP objectives

ACGMP brings together specialized CDMOs across countries and regions to give therapy developers access to partners with required technical expertise and regional infrastructure. The alliance plans joint promotional activities, client referrals, collaborative projects, and development of common tools for quality management and technology transfer, plus collaboration among member technical and quality teams.

Expected impact and strategy

By joining ACGMP, Teijin Regenet aims to strengthen its global development and manufacturing network and enhance support capabilities for CGT developers in Japan and overseas. The move aligns with the Teijin Group's mid-term strategy based on the "Suriawase × Kumiawase" concept to leverage internal and external technologies, expertise and networks to support commercialization and wider adoption of innovative CGT.
