Teijin Limited, Teijin Regenet and Shinshu University Hospital entered a joint research agreement to develop manufacturing technologies for cell and gene therapy products, including chimeric antigen receptor T‑cell (CAR‑T) therapies.

Technical focus

The collaboration combines Shinshu University Hospital's CAR‑T research, development and clinical application expertise with Teijin Regenet's contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) experience in manufacturing and quality management for regenerative medicine products.

Facilities and methods

The partners will use the Cell Processing Center (CPC) at Shinshu University Hospital to investigate automation and efficiency improvements in manufacturing and to accumulate practical knowledge on quality testing technologies and quality‑control methodologies.

Objective
