Contract scope

Tecnimont USA has signed the Front-End-Engineering Design (FEED) contract with Argent LNG for an export facility at Port Fourchon, Louisiana. The contract covers FEED engineering activities, development of key permitting documentation and technical support to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) permitting process.

Deliverables

The scope includes project execution planning and documentation, schedule and cost estimation, safety and reliability studies, and integration of the facility's key technology packages. The FEED is intended to define the project's technical definition to support execution certainty and bankability.

Next steps

Upon completion of the FEED, finalization of the FERC permitting process and the client’s Final Investment Decision (FID), the project is expected to roll over into the EPC phase. The signing follows a cooperation agreement announced on 21 January 2026 that defined Tecnimont’s role as engineering and technology integrated services provider.

Project specifics and timeline

The planned facility will have a total capacity of 25 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and is sited in a hurricane-resilient energy hub. Argent LNG is targeting first cargo for 2030.
