Project Overview
Técnicas Reunidas has been selected by KAZAZOT to develop the largest ammonium production plant in Kazakhstan, located in Aktau, Mangistau Oblast. The project will be executed through a FEED OBE contract, followed by an EPC contract once financing is secured.

The total investment for the plant is approximately $1 billion. The facility will have the capacity to produce 660,000 tons of ammonia, 577,500 tons of urea, 395,000 tons of nitric acid, and 500,000 tons of ammonium nitrate annually.
Engineering and Construction
The FEED OBE contract will require about 200,000 engineering hours, to be completed at Técnicas Reunidas' Madrid headquarters within the current year. Upon completion and securing of financial resources, the company will proceed with the full engineering, procurement, and construction of the plant under an EPC contract.
