The company functions as the owner, developer, and future operator of the Aktau Ammonia-Urea Fertilizer Complex, a new-build integrated nitrogen fertilizer facility located in the Special Economic Zone Seaport Aktau in Mangystau Region. The project will introduce Kazakhstan’s first domestic urea production alongside expanded capacity for ammonia, nitric acid, and ammonium nitrate, utilizing natural gas feedstock.

Planned annual production includes roughly 660,000 tonnes of ammonia, 577,500–580,000 tonnes of urea, 395,000 tonnes of nitric acid, and 500,000 tonnes of ammonium nitrate. Total output is projected at 1.5–1.7 million tonnes per year. The investment is estimated at USD 1.3–1.6 billion, with completion targeted for 2029–2030. It will generate approximately 1,500 temporary construction jobs and 700 permanent positions.

Part of the KazAzot group ultimately linked to businessman Bakharidin Ablazimov, the company supports national goals of fertilizer self-sufficiency and export growth to Central Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. It partners with international firms including KBR for ammonia technology, Toyo Engineering for urea granulation, and others for process design and EPC execution.
