TCO management and IMBC representatives visited Shymkent from June 3-5, 2025, to explore opportunities for localizing production in the oil and gas sector. The visit aimed to foster cooperation with regional authorities and local manufacturers.

Key Visits and Discussions

On the first day, the delegation attended an exhibition of local commodity producers and engaged in discussions with Birzhan Azimberdiyev, Head of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development Department of Shymkent, about the region's industrial and investment potential. TCO's Deputy General Director, Konilkosh Suyessinov, outlined the company's procurement structure and localization priorities.

Industrial Site Visits

The second day involved visits to key industrial sites, including Asia Trafo, HILL Corporation, Karlskrona LC AB, and Renaissance SHIK. TCO representatives noted the advanced technological capabilities of these companies and emphasized the importance of aligning with international standards.

Memorandum of Cooperation

The visit concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between IMBC and the Akimat of Shymkent, focusing on developing machinery building for the oil and gas industry. Dastan Abishev, CEO of IMBC, highlighted the region's readiness to expand its production base.

Future Plans

This visit is part of TCO's broader strategy to evaluate production capacities across Kazakhstan and engage with local manufacturers. TCO is already collaborating with companies from various regions, integrating most of Kazakhstan into its cooperative framework.
