TotalEnergies Sells 50% of 424 MW Greek Renewables Portfolio

Key highlights

Transaction Overview

TotalEnergies has completed the sale of 50% of its 424 MW wind and solar portfolio in Greece to Asterion Industrial Partners. The transaction values the portfolio at €508 million, equating to approximately €1.2 million per MW installed.

Operational Control

Despite the sale, TotalEnergies retains a 50% stake and continues to operate the assets. The company will also offtake and market most of the electricity produced once the assets no longer benefit from regulated tariffs.

Business Strategy

TotalEnergies is focused on building a competitive portfolio that integrates renewables like solar and wind with flexible assets such as CCGT and storage. This approach aims to deliver clean, firm power to customers while achieving profitability and risk-sharing through partial divestments.
