Agreement Details
QatarEnergy has entered into a 20-year Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Petronas to supply two million tons per annum (MTPA) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Malaysia. The supply is set to commence in 2028.
Signing Ceremony
The agreement was formalized by His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and CEO of QatarEnergy, and YM Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik Tengku Kamadjaja Aziz, President & Group CEO of Petronas. The signing took place in Doha during the 21st International Conference & Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas, known as LNG2026.
Significance
