Introduction
Nouryon has launched FinnFix® PB MAX, the first carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) with a 100% renewable carbon index score, aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of laundry detergents.
Product Composition
FinnFix® PB MAX is made from natural wood-based cellulose and uses ISCC Plus-certified monochloroacetic acid from Nouryon’s Delfzijl, Netherlands, facility. This results in a CMC derived entirely from renewable carbon sources.
Performance and Benefits
The product replaces conventional synthetic ingredients with a fully biobased, biodegradable alternative that maintains or enhances cleaning performance. It is designed to improve anti-redeposition performance, ensuring removed soils are rinsed away and do not reattach to fabrics.
