Nouryon is increasing production capacity for premium Levasil colloidal silica at its Guangzhou site to serve growing demand across Asia Pacific and shorten lead times by locating production closer to manufacturers.
Key applications
Levasil is used in emissions-control catalysts to help vehicles and industrial equipment meet tighter environmental standards, in electrical-steel coatings to improve transformer energy efficiency, and in non-stick cookware coatings to enhance durability and performance.

The expansion follows the opening of Nouryon’s innovation center in Shanghai in November 2025, which includes eight specialized laboratories and one lab dedicated to Levasil for catalyst technologies.
Product positioning
