Contract and scope

Nextchem, through its Conser subsidiary, was awarded the licensing, Process Design Package and technical services by a Chinese client for a new Trimellitic Anhydride (TMA) plant in China.

Technology

The plant will deploy Nextchem’s proprietary Trimellitic Anhydride technology from the NX CONSER C5+ portfolio for continuous TMA production, aiming to reduce power, steam and water consumption while meeting safety and reliability requirements through selected construction materials.

Project delivery

The project is structured in two execution phases to enable progressive implementation aligned with the client’s strategy; the contract includes an option to supply proprietary equipment at a later stage.

Applications

TMA will serve as an intermediate for high-performance PVC plasticizers used in electrical, automotive and medical applications, and for coating formulations and polyester resins.
