Project award

Conser, a Nextchem subsidiary, was awarded licensing, a Process Design Package and technical services by a Chinese client to build a Trimellitic Anhydride (TMA) plant in China.

Technology and efficiency

The plant will use Nextchem’s proprietary NX CONSER C5+ TMA technology for continuous production; the design uses innovative construction materials and targets reduced power, steam and water consumption while supporting safety and reliability.

Applications

TMA is a key intermediate for high-performance PVC plasticizers used in electrical, automotive and medical applications, and is also used in coating formulations and polyester resins.

Project execution

The project is structured in two phases to enable progressive implementation and the contract allows for optional supply of proprietary equipment at a later stage.
