NEXTCHEM Secures Licensing Deal in China for NX CONSER™ Technologies

Key highlights
  • NEXTCHEM's technologies will co-produce Dimethyl succinate (DMS) and 1.4-Butanediol (BDO) in China.
  • The agreement supports downstream applications like PolyButylene Succinate (PBS).
  • Subsequent tenders for catalyst and proprietary equipment supply are expected.
  • The technologies enhance conversion efficiency and product purity, reducing feedstock usage.

Project Overview

NEXTCHEM, through its subsidiary CONSER, has been awarded a licensing and Process Design Package in China. The project involves deploying NX CONSER™ MAN and NX CONSER™ Duetto technologies for the co-production of Dimethyl succinate (DMS) and 1.4-Butanediol (BDO) by a major state-owned chemical company.

Technological Advancements

The technologies enable efficient co-production, optimizing feedstock use and downstream integration for biopolymers. This supports the production of biopolymers at a more competitive cost, enhancing sustainability and energy efficiency.

Future Developments

The agreement includes integrated production of BDO and DMS, facilitating downstream applications such as PolyButylene Succinate (PBS) and other specialty polymers. Subsequent tenders for catalyst and proprietary equipment supply are anticipated.
