Moeve invests €100.7m in San Roque and Puente Mayorga environmental upgrades (2025)
- San Roque Energy Park and Puente Mayorga Chemical Plant invested a total of €100.7 million in environmental initiatives in 2025.
- San Roque received over €51 million and Puente Mayorga over €49 million; nearly €224 million was invested across the two facilities during the past three years.

Investment and focus
In 2025 Moeve invested €100.7 million in environmental projects at its San Roque Energy Park and Puente Mayorga Chemical Plant, with more than €51 million at San Roque and over €49 million at Puente Mayorga. Over the past three years the two sites have received nearly €224 million for environmental improvements focused on decarbonization, energy efficiency, water management and waste reduction.
Water and waste management
San Roque reduced freshwater consumption by 17% versus 2023, upgraded its stormwater network and opened a new outfall that helped cut final discharges by up to 14% compared with three years earlier. The park recirculated 733,000 m³ of water in 2025 following a 2024 recirculation plant start-up and recovered 61.5% of its waste. Puente Mayorga recovered over 60% of its waste.
Energy efficiency and circular measures
Projects include installation of high-efficiency heat exchangers in Puente Mayorga’s PACOL unit and furnace preheater upgrades to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency. San Roque is progressing permits to co-process certain animal by-products as raw material for energy solutions, and both sites follow an AENOR-certified Circular Economy Roadmap.
Certifications and community engagement
Both facilities hold ISO 50001 and ISO 14001 certifications; their EMAS Environmental Statements were audited and validated by AENOR. The San Roque maritime terminal’s environmental report complies with Puertos del Estado guidance. Moeve’s foundation supports local biodiversity work, including the Madrevieja Environmental Station, which has hosted over 14,000 visitors and species-recovery projects.
