Partnership Overview

Mitsui Chemicals has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dangote Industries and AAIC Holdings to explore comprehensive collaboration. The agreement was finalized on August 20, 2025, and aims to strengthen regional industries in Africa, including Nigeria.

Dangote's Operations

Dangote Industries, founded in 1981, has diversified from its initial cement business to include sugar production, infrastructure, power generation, and real estate. It operates a petroleum refinery and petrochemical complex with a production capacity of 650,000 barrels per day. Additionally, Dangote's fertilizer production capacity stands at 3 million tonnes per annum, and its cement manufacturing extends across 12 African countries.

Collaboration Goals

The partnership seeks to address social issues through domestic production and aims to explore concrete possibilities for regional development. The collaboration will focus on enhancing living standards and industrial growth in African countries.
