The integrated supply covers basic and equipment engineering plus advisory services for an SL/RN Xtra rotary kiln pellet direct reduction process integrated with a 30 MVA Metso Outotec DRI Smelting Furnace. The scope includes a hot feeding system for the DRI smelter.
Purpose and outcomes
The solution is designed to thermally treat and smelt leach residue into molten hot metal, producing iron and slag products while reducing on‑site waste streams and supporting Eti Bakir’s objective to operate a zero‑waste industrial complex at Mazidagi.
Partnership context
Metso and Eti Bakir have an established relationship; Metso previously supplied beneficiation, calcination, off‑gas cleaning, sulfuric acid and metal recovery leaching plants for the Mazidagi site.
