Renewed Cooperation in Azerbaijan
MAIRE and the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan have renewed their cooperation to advance renewable energy and energy transition initiatives. This collaboration involves MAIRE's subsidiaries, NEXTCHEM and Tecnimont Services, partnering with SOCAR Green, a subsidiary of SOCAR focused on sustainable projects. The focus will be on renewable energy, low-carbon technologies, waste-to-energy solutions, green hydrogen, methane emissions reduction, and biofuels.
Decarbonization Goals
Azerbaijan is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 35% by 2030, partly by increasing power generation from renewable sources. The cooperation with MAIRE aligns with these national decarbonization targets.
Partnership in Uzbekistan
NEXTCHEM has also entered into a cooperation agreement with Uzbekneftegaz OJSC, an Uzbek state-owned oil company. This partnership aims to support the decarbonization and upgrading of Uzbekistan’s infrastructures, with a particular focus on producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from waste and other materials. NEXTCHEM will leverage its proprietary technologies, NX SAF™ BIO and NX PTU™, in this initiative.
