Effective November 3, 2025, Kuanyshkerey Mukhtarov has been appointed as the Deputy General Director of Tengizchevroil (TCO), taking over from Konilkosh Suyessinov.

Experience and Background

Mukhtarov brings over three decades of experience in operations and engineering. His career began at the Tengiz oilfield in 1991, where he held various technical and supervisory roles, significantly contributing to the field's development.

Achievements of Predecessor

During his 3.5-year tenure, Suyessinov made notable contributions to enhancing local content in TCO's operations, achieving a 71% local content indicator. In 2024, TCO purchased approximately USD 3 billion in goods and services from Kazakhstani suppliers, with USD 1.3 billion spent in the first nine months of 2025.
