Investment and Completion
Infraserv Höchst has completed a new hazardous substance warehouse at Industriepark Höchst, investing around EUR 35 million. The facility was built in 18 months and is operated by Infraserv Logistics GmbH, a subsidiary of Infraserv Höchst.
Facility Specifications
The warehouse measures 220 meters in length, 75 meters in width, and 15 meters in height, covering a 16,500-square-meter footprint. It offers around 21,500 pallet positions, enhancing the park's logistics infrastructure.
Safety Measures
The storage space is divided into nine structurally separate compartments equipped with advanced fire suppression systems. These systems can release large quantities of fire-extinguishing foam within minutes, mitigating risks posed by combustible materials. The warehouse is strategically located next to one of the two fire stations staffed 24/7 by Infraserv Höchst’s industrial fire brigade.
Technological Advancements
The facility is technologically advanced, featuring extensive digitalization for efficient operations. A new warehouse management system improves transparency and efficiency across production, storage, and distribution processes. Four of the nine compartments are designed for temperature-controlled storage, accommodating chemical, pharmaceutical, and healthcare products at specific temperature ranges.
Regional Demand
The new warehouse replaces and expands the existing hazardous substance storage capacity at the site. It is licensed to store a wide range of hazardous substances, meeting the high demand for such facilities in the Rhine-Main Region. The facility is expected to attract companies both within and outside Industriepark Höchst.
