Introduction

INEOS Styrolution has launched Styrolution® PS ECO 158K BC100, a bio-attributed polystyrene, for food packaging in Japan. This material is now available in food trays at a leading Japanese retail chain.

The new polystyrene is produced from 100% bio-attributed renewable feedstock, achieving a 172% reduction in carbon emissions compared to conventional polystyrene. This significant reduction supports sustainability efforts in the packaging industry.
