Closure of Wingles Polystyrene Production

INEOS Styrolution has announced the permanent closure of its polystyrene production facility in Wingles, France. This decision is part of a strategic move to adapt to evolving market conditions and enhance the long-term competitiveness of its European operations.

Consolidation at Antwerp Facility

Production for European polystyrene customers will be consolidated at the company's advanced site in Antwerp, Belgium. The Antwerp facility is strategically located to effectively serve customers, offering advanced capabilities and a broad product portfolio.

Workforce Adjustments and Compliance

All workforce adjustments will be conducted in full compliance with local regulations. The consultation process with the Works Council of INEOS Styrolution France SAS has already commenced.

Impact on ABS Production

The closure of the polystyrene production will not impact the acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) production at the Wingles site, which will continue operations as usual.
