Iberdrola and Selex Group Sign 1,250 GWh Renewable Energy Agreement in Italy

Agreement Details

Iberdrola and Selex Gruppo Commerciale have signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 1,250 GWh of renewable energy. The agreement will supply 125 GWh of photovoltaic energy annually, with a capacity of 77 MW, starting in July 2026.

Environmental Impact

This collaboration aims to enhance industrial electrification in Italy, reducing annual CO₂ emissions by approximately 37,000 tons, equivalent to planting 1.5 million trees.

Selex Group, Italy's leading organized modern distribution group, consists of 18 affiliated companies and operates 3,331 retail outlets, including hypermarkets and discount stores. The group employs over 42,600 people.
