Investment and Job Creation

H2V Product, owned by Samfi-Invest, is set to build a green hydrogen production plant in Port-Jérôme, creating 180 jobs by 2022. The project is part of a larger initiative involving a total investment of €3.5 billion and the creation of 16,000 jobs across France.

Production Method

The plant will utilize water electrolysis to produce hydrogen, a method that is more environmentally friendly compared to traditional hydrocarbon-based processes. This approach aims to significantly reduce CO2 emissions, with a target of cutting 100,000 tons of CO2.

Technological Collaboration

Half of the €450 million investment is allocated for production equipment. H2V Product plans to collaborate with Norwegian constructor Nel ASA to transfer technology and involve personnel in the assembly and operation of electrolysers. The plant will require nearly 200 units, far exceeding the current market capacity of 15 units per year.

Future Expansion

H2V Product aims to establish seven to eight similar sites across France. This expansion is expected to further enhance the company's capability to offer turnkey factories to other European countries, promoting the adoption of renewable hydrogen production methods.
