Evonik launches ISCC Plus‑certified ULTRASIL® eCO from Adapazarı site

Certification and production

Evonik, together with the Egesil Kimya team, obtained ISCC Plus certification for its precipitated silica plant in Adapazarı, Turkey—its first certified silica site in the EMEA region. With the certification in place, the site has begun commercial production of ULTRASIL® eCO, a circular silica based on recognized mass balance standards.

Product purpose

ULTRASIL® eCO expands Evonik’s global portfolio of certified circular silica solutions and provides verified, auditable circular content for tire and rubber applications, enabling manufacturers to incorporate circular feedstock without compromising performance.

Operational impact

The certification was achieved through close collaboration between Evonik’s sustainability experts and the Adapazarı site team to ensure compliance with ISCC Plus requirements. Evonik says this enables circular silica production at industrial scale in EMEA, enhances supply security, and further strengthens its sustainable silica offering.
