Plant start and capacity
Production began at the new hydrogen peroxide megaplant in Leshan on 18 June 2026. The facility has an annual capacity of 200 kilotons of industrial‑grade H₂O₂ and reached in‑spec production within a few days of startup.
Delivery, technology and support
The project was completed 2.5 years after the licensing agreement signed in November 2023. Evonik supplied its proprietary H₂O₂ technology along with key process equipment, catalysts and working solution. Technical experts from China, Germany and the United States supported engineering, construction, commissioning and startup.
Market role and JV supply
The plant will serve the regional merchant market for industrial‑grade H₂O₂ and will also supply the Evonik Fuhua New Materials joint venture. Hydrogen peroxide from Leshan will be further purified there into specialty grades for demanding applications such as electronics manufacturing and food safety.
